WHY JOIN THE NEW ENGLAND GERONTOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION?

NEGA The New England Gerontological Association has restructured its organization of aging services in the six New England States. The new board of directors is encouraged to feel that important unmet needs in our region may be more adequately met through a convening of concerned persons through our multi-disciplinary organization.

An organization may be as good as the membership and its leadership. This full potential for growth and relevancy is now afforded to NEGA members who are renewing past membership as well as to new members. There is universal appeal to NEGA membership. Rather than meet the specialized needs of a particular discipline such as medicine, nursing or health administration, it offers vital interactions between all the professions concerned with aging. It affords the health care consumer the full rights and equality with other members in efforts to grow and to contribute to advancement of this field.
